Activism and Fashion
In 2017, while serving at the Delaware Center for Justice, Ashley created the charity apparel brand Livelihood, which collaborated with the flash-sale e-commerce platform Gilt, developed and marketed ethically manufactured American apparel to promote social justice reform, enhance youth education, and improve economic inequalities. The emblem of the brand, which includes a bow, references her late brother, Beau.
Upon graduating from Tulane, Ashley worked at Philadelphia’s Northwestern Human Services Children’s Reach Clinic as part of their health support team, helping young people and their families access neighborhood resources.
